We finally have a big work space where we can also store chests of tea and plenty of blending ingredients. Our blending space is located one floor below our retail shop. A few weeks ago, we moved the business into a beautiful new space that is about twice as big as our previous shop, giving us lots of room to continue growing! 90 teas and counting! Take us on a virtual tour of your tea blending space. That was 19 years ago! I moved to Santa Fe, New Mexico in 2007 and started ArtfulTea. After about a decade, I decided to leave the law in favor of opening a tea shop in Florida. I went on to have a career as a lawyer, but was never very happy practicing law. Back then it was more milk and sugar than tea, but somehow that early experience grew into a lifelong love of tea. My maternal Grandfather started me drinking tea when I was a girl. (We call it “Daily Darjeeling” because it’s affordable enough to drink every day!) Can’t go wrong with a Darjeeling! Tell me a bit about your tea journey and how your love for tea evolved into ArtfulTea. It has a wonderful, slightly nutty taste. This is an organic blend of first and second flushes from the Happy Valley Tea Estate. What tea are you going to steep for us today?ĭarjeeling. The kettle is on and I can hear it about to sing. At the tea table Karen discussed her daily tea rituals, her tea blending space and how she repurposed broken teacups and other fine china. When she’s not working at her tea shop, you might find her in her backyard, enjoying a form of meditation with a tea related landscape she created. Today Karen is still sharing her passion for tea with every cup at her retail shop. This motivated her to open up an online tea shop, ArtfulTea, in 2007 so that she could continue to provide for her loyal customers and eventually newcomers. Six years later she moved to New Mexico and past customers would reach out to her requesting to order their well-loved tea blends. Karen Gardiner began her tea career in 2000 when she opened her first tea shop in Florida, Kindred Tea. (PD) Photo: Public Papers of the Presidents OK, I have mixed feelings about Rutledge. There's a place where two cliffs come close together forming a small passageway to walk through, called the Stone Door. We learned this the hard way! Before or after Greeter Falls, check out the Stone Door hike - it has easy trails, and you end up at a breathtaking mountain vista where you can see forever. You have to use the restroom at the ranger station at the Stone Door, 12 minutes away. Quick overview: Swimming hole / cliff-jumping / rock-scaling / spiral staircase It can get slippery, but there's a railing, and if you stay low to the ground you'll be fine. After the staircase, you'll go across a kind of slanted wooden plank to get to the falls. If you're afraid of heights, just be aware that it's worth it, and it'll be over soon :). At the end of the trail before the waterfall, you'll descend a very narrow, winding staircase down to the falls. But there are narrow pathways with sheer drops without railings, so be super careful with small children. The hike itself is less than a mile, and you'll pass amazing cliff formations, caves, and flowers. The most important thing to know about Greeter Falls is that you will have to do some careful maneuvering to get to the falls. Lots of big boulders for sunning yourself. Greeter Falls has become one of my favorite places in Tennessee - there's so much to love. I had the best pumpkin smoothie there last time. It's a funky little health food/antiques/garden/yarn shop with a creamsicle-orange food trailer behind it called The Crescent Cafe. Make a stop at Mooney's Market and Emporium in Monteagle, TN just off I-24. Quick overview: Swimming hole / short hike / uphill return / suspension bridge The return hike requires stamina as you're going uphill at a pretty steep slope, but there are plenty of places to hold on or rest if you need to. There's another rocky area to the immediate right of the waterfall where you can sun yourself on big rocks and let all those wonderful water ions fall on your skin. Adults or bigger kids can venture out and swim in the deeper waters along the rocky edges or, if you can brave the frigid water, underneath Foster Falls itself. The water is shallow near the shore, so small children can wade there. Before you reach the waterfall, you cross a suspension bridge and end up on a small sandy/rocky beach area with the swimming hole and waterfall spread before you. A few steps into the hike, the towering trees and mossy rocks will make you feel like you're in an ancient, magical forest in the Pacific Northwest. The hike is short, and even though you're hiking downhill the entire time to the waterfall, the natural rock formations form stairs that are fairly easy to climb over. Perhaps Foster Falls is so dear to my heart because it's the first Tennessee waterfall I visited in my post-college early 20s days living in Nashville. Now, I always check beforehand to ensure that the water is flowing. there was no waterfall, just a big silent pool. Lesson learned the hard way.we once visited Foster Falls one October with friends from out of town and when got to the bottom, it was eerily quiet. Look at the most recent posts and see how much water was flowing in the photos other people just posted. One day I'll be a hardcore rock climber wearing Athleta gear 24/7, but this is real life with small children, ya know?īefore you read, keep this big tip in mind: go to Instagram and check the hashtag (or location tag) for the waterfall you're wanting to visit. In this post I'm keeping a running list of the waterfalls we've visited (and re-visited) so far - all doable and fun adventures with our two young girls (3 and 7 when we started). There are literally good vibes coming out of waterfalls! Which explains why we can't stay away. Negative ions help lift our mood, reduce anxiety, strengthen resistance to illness and even keep our airways functioning well. I've since learned a fun fact: waterfalls release tens of thousands of negative ions per cubic centimeter - 3 or 4 times the amount of normal fresh air. Since our little family of four moved to middle Tennessee (south of Nashville) in 2015, we've sorta become addicted to chasing waterfalls. I think we were just so starved for natural beauty, green, and rushing waters after living in big city Dallas for 11 years! So we started taking mini road trips on Saturday or Sunday afternoons to explore the many waterfalls within a 2 hour drive of the Nashville area. So it can be exceedingly difficult to decide which suite is better for your business. And both suites offer scads of additional tools as well. But those individual applications are quite different from one suite to the other, as are the management tools for taking care of them in a business environment. Each has cloud storage associated with it. Each has word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, email, calendar, and contacts programs, along with videoconferencing, messaging, and note-taking software. The suites also offer the same basic core applications. Microsoft provides Office client apps for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android, and its web-based apps work across browsers. Because it’s web-based, Google Workspace works in most browsers on any operating system, and Google also offers mobile apps for Android and iOS. And while Microsoft 365 is based on installed desktop software, it also provides (less powerful) web-based versions of its applications.īoth suites work well with a range of devices. Although Google Workspace is web-based, it has the capability to work offline as well. Both are subscription-based, charging businesses per-person fees every month, in varying tiers, depending on the capabilities their customers are looking for. Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 have much in common. Nowadays, choosing an office suite isn’t as simple as it once was. Microsoft 365 is what we’ve focused on in this story. Microsoft, meanwhile, has shifted its emphasis away from its traditional licensed Office software to Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365), a subscription-based version that’s treated more like a service, with frequent updates and new features. Although Google’s productivity suite didn’t immediately take the business world by storm, over time it has gained both in features and in popularity, boasting 6 million paying customers, according to Google’s most recent public stats in March 2020. Then in 2006 Google came along with Google Docs & Spreadsheets, a collaborative online word processing and spreadsheet duo that was combined with other business services to form the Google Apps suite, later rebranded as G Suite, and now as Google Workspace. By the late ‘90s and early 2000s, Microsoft’s office suite had brushed aside rivals such as WordPerfect Office and Lotus SmartSuite, and there was no competition on the horizon. Once upon a time, Microsoft Office ruled the business world. Austin Getz’s produces melodies with his voice and weaves every word perfectly into the mix of wonder and nostalgia that the music encompasses. The lyrics are easy to comprehend and sing along with, bleeding comfort and memorability into ears of every listener. The vocals drone on in a monotonous tone, adding to the whole trance. The guitars are mesmerizing with the way the lead guitar is always moving about, spinning off leads and arpeggios above the standard chord progression. ‘Hello Euphoria’ is a perfect light to shed on all of these influences. Peripheral Vision is a mix of emo, shoe-gaze and pop punk. During the middle of the opening track a vicious snare section is unleashed as the band explodes their sound with louder tones and more layers or delays and a bit harsher vocals. Turnover never shy away from their strengths, allowing their ability to create dynamics shine. Lead single ‘Cutting My Fingers Off’ is the opener of the album, establishing a setting and painting a picture of lush, warm guitar tones and spacey vocals aligned with grooves from the rhythm section. This year we have seen him dive into some different projects, and Turnover’s new album Peripheral Vision is one of those different albums he can use to claim to fame. He is known for helping defile mosh pits by producing Blacklisted, establishing emotional trauma with La Dispute and even giving The Wonder Years their birth right with The Upsides. It seems like a six degress of Kevin Bacon but for music. I am surprised at how many projects Will Yip takes on every year. Here we discuss how to find Range in Excel along with excel examples and downloadable excel template.
In some cases, privileged accounts can even convey account access that extends across the entire enterprise. Administrators are often granted access to Active Directory service accounts, local administrative workstations, servers and hosts, and application accounts, for example. Privileged accounts also typically have administrative access over a subset of other accounts. A privileged account is a user or device with administrative access to sensitive enterprise resources, including data. Many of the world’s most high-profile breaches, including the infamous SolarWinds attack, were made possible because privileged accounts had been compromised or misused. The Challenge of Privileged Access Management The closer an enterprise can hold to this ideal, the safer it is. In practice, privileged access management starts with setting policies that define and enforce the ideal of least privilege, in which each person only gets the specific access they need-no more, no less. To enforce the strongest security standards in the cloud, organizations needs total visibility into all privileged-account activities, plus strong tools to monitor and regulate that access. PAM solutions have been around for some time: Gartner describes PAM as “a foundational level of security to protect an organization’s most critical accounts, credentials and operations.” A key prerequisite for creating a zero trust architecture is a holistic approach to privileged access management (PAM). Organizations today are accelerating their transition to zero trust security architectures, so they can enable cloud access for modern workforces while hardening enterprise defenses against breaches resulting from stolen or misused credentials.
